The Los Angeles Rams will host the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving Eve this season in a contest to be aired on Netflix, the NFL announced on Wednesday.

The ‌Wednesday night Nov. 25 affair is one of five games Netflix will show this season as part of a revised deal through the 2029 season, according to reports. Netflix ‌confirmed the 2026 game inventory, which includes the NFL’s first-ever game on Thanksgiving Eve.

The Week 12 contest will feature NFL MVP Matthew Stafford of the Rams and another solid quarterback in Jordan Love of the Packers. Stafford led the NFL with 4,707 passing yards and tossed a career-high 46 touchdown passes.

Both teams were playoff participants last season. The Rams went 12-5 in the regular season and later lost in the NFC Championship Game to the eventual Super Bowl-champion ‌Seattle Seahawks.

The Packers went 9-7-1 and lost to the Chicago Bears in the NFL wild-card round.

Netflix will also air the Rams’ season-opening game against the San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne, Australia on Sept. 10. The streaming service also is slated to receive two Christmas Day ‌contests and a key Week 18 game with playoff implications.

Netflix also announced Wednesday that ‌it landed a deal to stream the NFL Honors awards show during Super Bowl week.

Earlier this week, the NFL announced that the Dallas Cowboys will host the Philadelphia Eagles on Thanksgiving Day on Fox.

The NFL’s 2026 schedule will be formally released on Thursday.
