Leafs F Max Domi dealing with surgery ‘complications’

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi is out indefinitely due to complications ​from an offseason surgery, ‌the team announced Monday.

Domi, 31, will continue working with the Maple Leafs’ medical staff and will be ‌re-evaluated ​at the ⁠start of training ⁠camp. The team said he played through the injury during the 2025-26 season but did ​not provide specific details about the injury or ⁠surgery.

Domi recorded 36 ⁠points (12 goals, 24 assists) ​in 80 games during the ​regular season and added seven ‌points (three goals, four assists) in 13 playoff contests.

The 11-year NHL veteran has recorded 486 ⁠points (150 goals, 336 assists) and 801 penalty minutes in 815 games with ⁠seven ‌different teams. He ⁠just completed his third ​season ‌with Toronto.

A first-round draft ​pick (12th overall) ⁠in 2013, the Winnipeg native has two seasons remaining on a four-year, $15 million contract he signed in July 2024.
