Rangers activate RHP Chris Martin from injured list

The Texas Rangers activated reliever Chris Martin from the 15-day injured list ​and optioned fellow ‌right-hander Gavin Collyer to Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday.

Martin, who turns 40 next month, landed ‌on ​the IL ⁠on April 15 ⁠with a right shoulder impingement. He was 1-1 with a 7.11 ERA in ​eight appearances out of the bullpen before the ⁠injury.

Martin is 19-25 ⁠with a 3.39 ​ERA and 16 saves in ​426 career games (zero starts) with ‌seven teams since 2014, including two stints with the Rangers (2018-19, 2025-current). He won ⁠a World Series with the Atlanta Braves in 2021.

Collyer, 25, made ⁠his ‌major league debut ⁠on April 15. ​Through ‌14 relief appearances, he ​is 1-0 ⁠with a 2.84 ERA to go along with 10 strikeouts and eight walks in 12 2/3 innings.
