Singapore core inflation at 1.2% y/y in November, lower than expected

SINGAPORE, Dec 23 (Reuters) – Singapore’s key consumer price ‍gauge rose 1.2% in November from a year earlier, ‌official data ‌showed on Tuesday.

The core inflation rate, which excludes private road ​transport and accommodation costs, ‍was ​lower than the ​median forecast of ‍1.3% in a Reuters poll of economists, and matches ‍the 1.2% reading in October.

Headline inflation was ‍1.2% ‍in annual ​terms in ​November, ⁠lower than ‌the poll forecast of 1.3%.
