(Reuters) – Argentine President Javier Milei’s office on Wednesday said that the leader had issued a decree to tighten migration into the South American nation, cracking down on those with criminal records and requiring travelers hold health insurance.

Milei’s office said in a statement that the measures were to ensure that public funds were spent on taxpayers.
