Magnitude 5.5 earthquake strikes Aleneva, Alaska, USGS says

Oct 6 (Reuters) – A ​magnitude ‌5.5 earthquake struck the ‌Aleneva, ​Alaska, ⁠region ⁠on Tuesday, the United ​States ⁠Geological ⁠Survey (USGS) said.

The ​quake ​was at a ‌depth of ⁠87.3 km (54.2 miles), USGS said.

USGS ⁠initially ‌reported ⁠the ​location ‌as Kokhanok.
