Sept 24 (Reuters) – Volkswagen’s US autonomous-mobility subsidiary MOIA America and operator Beep on Thursday said they had begun carrying invited passengers in robotaxis in Orlando’s Lake Nona community.
The move marks MOIA America’s first passenger operations in the US as autonomous ride services expand across the country.

• Invited passengers can request rides through the Beep mobile app and use dedicated pickup and drop-off locations along three Lake Nona routes.
• The integrated system is designed to help fleet operators deploy and manage autonomous transportation services.
• “Each trip helps us better understand how people interact with autonomous transportation in everyday settings,” said Paul DeLong, co-president of MOIA America.
