Sep 16 (Field Level Media) – The New York Mets placed right-handers Robert Stock and Daniel Duarte on the 15-day injured list, while right-hander Xzavion Curry was recalled to start Wednesday night against the Baltimore Orioles.
The Mets also recalled left-hander Jefry Yan as they try to move out of last place in the National League East with less than two weeks remaining in the regular season.
Stock, 36, last pitched Wednesday when he allowed three runs over four innings in a no-decision against the Miami Marlins in a 15-14 win and was expected to return to the mound against the Orioles.
Stock was placed on the IL with numbness in his fingers and saw his season come to an end after going 1-3 with a 5.93 ERA in eight appearances (seven starts).
Duarte, 29, is dealing with a left hamstring strain and finishes his season 2-0 with a 2.12 ERA in 24 relief appearances.
Curry, 28, had eight relief appearances with the Mets earlier this season and delivered a 3.44 ERA. Yan, 30, made his major league debut Aug. 5 and went 1-1 with a 5.68 ERA in 13 relief appearances.
