Storm’s Katie Lou Samuelson (knee) to miss final 4 games

Sep 12 (Field Level Media) – Seattle Storm guard Katie Lou Samuelson will miss ​the remainder of the season ‌after undergoing surgery on her left knee, the team announced.

The team did not provide additional details about the arthroscopic procedure.

“Your ‌Storm ​family is with ⁠you, Lou. Sending all ⁠our love and support, and wishing you a speedy recovery,” the Storm wrote in a social media ​post on Friday.

Seattle has just four games remaining and the ⁠league’s worst record at ⁠8-32.

Samuelson, 29, will end ​the season with averages of 4.4 points ​and 2.1 rebounds per game. She ‌appeared in 32 games (one start).

The Chicago Sky selected Samuelson with the No. 4 overall pick in the ⁠2019 WNBA Draft out of UConn. She won the national title with the Huskies ⁠in ‌2016.

In 170 career games (73 ⁠starts), Samuelson has averages of ​5.6 ‌points, 2.4 rebounds and ​1.3 assists ⁠with the Sky (2019), Dallas Wings (2020), Storm (2021, ’26), Los Angeles Sparks (2022) and Indiana Fever (2024).

The Storm’s next game is Thursday at home against the Las Vegas Aces.
