Wisconsin high school QB dies from injuries sustained in game

Aug 24 (Field Level Media) – A high school quarterback in Wisconsin ​died following injuries sustainedduring ‌a game, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Adam Massman, a senior at Lincoln High School in Alma ‌Center, ​Wis., died aftera ⁠game Thursday against ⁠Turtle Lake, per the report.

District superintendent Drew Semingson sent a letter to Lincoln HS familiesinforming ​them of the tragedy.

“Adam was active in our ⁠Lincoln community, participating ⁠in multiple sports,clubs, and ​activities making friends everywhere he went,” ​Semingson said inthe statement. “This loss ‌touches our Lincoln family in many ways. Adam’sfamily has deep connections throughout our schools.”

Emergency ⁠personnel were on site at the game and Massman was taken to thehospital. ⁠Semingson ‌did not provide ⁠any details about the ​nature ‌of theinjuries.

The school will ​be open ⁠Monday and Tuesday to students, parents and friendswishing to meet with counselors.

Massman also played varsity baseball and basketball at Lincoln.
