Aug 24 (Field Level Media) – A high school quarterback in Wisconsin died following injuries sustainedduring a game, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Adam Massman, a senior at Lincoln High School in Alma Center, Wis., died aftera game Thursday against Turtle Lake, per the report.
District superintendent Drew Semingson sent a letter to Lincoln HS familiesinforming them of the tragedy.
“Adam was active in our Lincoln community, participating in multiple sports,clubs, and activities making friends everywhere he went,” Semingson said inthe statement. “This loss touches our Lincoln family in many ways. Adam’sfamily has deep connections throughout our schools.”
Emergency personnel were on site at the game and Massman was taken to thehospital. Semingson did not provide any details about the nature of theinjuries.
The school will be open Monday and Tuesday to students, parents and friendswishing to meet with counselors.
Massman also played varsity baseball and basketball at Lincoln.
