The Chicago White Sox placed right-hander Davis Martin on the 15-day injured list in a series of moves ahead of Friday’s series opener at Detroit.

Martin, ‌29, is dealing with a blister on his right middle finger. He was ejected in the third inning of Thursday’s 9-8 loss to the Cincinnati ‌Reds after throwing consecutive pitches high and inside to Sal Stewart, causing both benches and bullpens to empty.

Martin is 9-6 with a 4.32 ERA through 24 starts this season. He has struck out 111 batters and walked 32 in 125 innings.

The White Sox also recalled right-hander Jose Urquidy and left-hander Tyler Schweitzer from Triple-A Charlotte and optioned right-hander Tanner McDougal to Charlotte.

Urquidy, 31, is 1-0 with a 2.25 ‌ERA in three starts at Charlotte since being acquired in a July 26 trade with Pittsburgh. He was 0-1 with an 8.53 ERA in five relief appearances for the Pirates before the trade and has yet to make his White ‌Sox debut.

Schweitzer, 25, made his major league debut on April 8. He ‌is 1-0 with a 2.78 ERA in 11 relief appearances this season with Chicago.

McDougal, 23, made his MLB debut on Thursday and surrendered one run with three walks in one-third of an inning out of the bullpen.
