NEW YORK, July 22 (Reuters) – Citigroup said on Wednesday it has hired five managing directors for its technology investment banking in the U.S. from Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase and UBS.
Chris Groe, who recently left Bank of America, will be responsible for deals in payments, fintech and digital assets and is expected to join the team in New York in September.
Citi also hired four banking executives in San Francisco, including three from JPMorgan. Florian Plath will be managing director for software and semiconductor companies, Dhruv Fotadar will cover enterprise infrastructure clients across software and AI and Anand Agarwal will focus on semiconductors and AI companies.
Josh Sheets, the fourth hire in San Francisco, will focus on vertical software companies and is joining from UBS.
