Orlando City SC are finalizing a deal to bring back American striker Daryl Dike, The Athletic reported on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old free agent’s contract with England’s West Bromwich Albion expired this summer.
Dike moved to England from Orlando City in 2022 for a fee worth nearly $10 million but was plagued by injuries.
The Oklahoma native delivered 18 goals and seven assists in 35 MLS matches (30 starts) for Orlando from 2020-21. He had 10 goals in 64 matches for West Bromwich Albion.
He recorded three goals in 10 matches with the U.S. men’s national team from 2021-23.
