China’s June dollar-denominated exports jump 27% y/y, imports up 36%

BEIJING, July 14 (Reuters) – China’s export growth ​accelerated in ‌June, expanding 27.0% from a year earlier ‌in ​U.S. ⁠dollar value terms, ⁠while imports rose 36.0%, customs data showed ​on Tuesday.

Outbound shipments ⁠were expected ⁠to have ​risen an ​annual 18.2%, according to ‌a Reuters poll of economists, up ⁠from a 19.4% gain in May. ⁠Imports ‌were ⁠forecast to ​have ‌grown 24.0%, against ​a ⁠27.4% increase previously.
