Avalanche move Jack Drury to Predators for 2 former first-round picks

The Colorado Avalanche acquired forwards Fedor Svechkov and Zachary L’Heureux from the Nashville Predators on Wednesday ​for center Jack Drury, minor ‌league forward Chase Bradley and a 2029 third-round pick.

Drury, 26, boasts the most NHL experience of the quartet. He has amassed ‌30 ​goals and 52 assists ⁠in 268 regular-season ⁠games for the Carolina Hurricanes (2021-24) and Avalanche (2025-26), which included appearing in all 82 games for Colorado this season.

Svechkov, 23, ​was a first-round pick by Nashville in 2021 and posted 12 ⁠goals and 22 ⁠assists in 122 games for ​the Predators the last two seasons.

L’Heureux, 23, ​also was selected by Nashville in ‌the first round of the 2021 draft. He provided five goals and 10 assists over 62 games in ⁠2024-25, then contributed four goals and one assist in 25 games for the Predators this ⁠season as ‌he spent more of ⁠the season with the AHL’s ​Milwaukee ‌Admirals.

Bradley, 24, appeared in two ​games for ⁠the Avalanche in 2024-25. Otherwise, his pro career has consisted of 23 goals and 11 assists in 104 regular-season games for the AHL Colorado Eagles.
