Twins bring up veteran RHP Austin Voth

The Minnesota Twins selected the contract of veteran right-hander Austin Voth from Triple-A ​St. Paul on Tuesday.

In a ‌corresponding move, the Twins optioned right-hander Cody Lawyerson to St. Paul.

Voth, 33, was 0-1 with a 5.40 ‌ERA ​in three starts ⁠for St. Paul, ⁠striking out 17 batters in 13 1/3 innings since signing a minor league contract on ​June 4.

Voth was 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA, five walks ⁠and one strikeout ⁠in six innings over ​two relief appearances earlier this ​season for the Toronto Blue Jays, ‌who granted him free agency on June 1.

He is 17-19 with a 4.77 ERA in ⁠209 games (39 starts) in parts of eight seasons with the Washington Nationals (2018-22), ⁠Baltimore Orioles (2022-23), ‌Seattle Mariners (2024) and ⁠Blue Jays (2026). He pitched ​for ‌Chiba Lotte in Japan last ​season.

Laweryson, ⁠28, was 1-0 with one save, a 5.06 ERA, and 18 strikeouts in 16 innings over 14 relief appearances this season.
