Chile central bank trims GDP growth estimate, raises inflation forecast

SANTIAGO, June 17 (Reuters) – Chile’s gross domestic product is ​expected to ‌grow between 1% and 1.75% this year, the central bank ‌said ​on Wednesday, ⁠reducing its forecast ⁠from a previous range of 1.5% to 2.5%.

Looking ahead, ​the bank raised its estimate ⁠for economic ⁠growth next ​year to 2% to ​3%, from a prior ‌range of 1.5% to 2.5%.

The bank also slightly ⁠raised its inflation forecast for 2026 to 3.7% ⁠from ‌a previous ⁠3.6%, amid ​instability ‌and pressures from ​rising global ⁠fuel prices.
