Congo says number of confirmed Ebola cases rises to 282

KINSHASA, May 31 (Reuters) – Democratic Republic of ​Congo said ‌on Sunday that the number of confirmed ‌Ebola ​cases ⁠had increased to ⁠282 after 19 new positive test results ​were recorded.

There have ⁠been 264 ⁠confirmed cases ​in Ituri ​province, 15 in North ‌Kivu province and three in South ⁠Kivu province, according to data distributed ⁠by ‌the ⁠communications ministry.

The ​confirmed ‌cases include 42 ​deaths, ⁠the ministry said.
