May 26 (Reuters) – Bad Bunny’s upcoming Madrid concerts are boosting restaurant bookings in central leisure districts compared with the ‌same period last year, Tripadvisor-owned online restaurant reservation platform TheFork said on Tuesday.

The Puerto Rican superstar is scheduled to ‌perform 10 concerts at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano stadium from May 30 to June 15, with more than 600,000 people expected to attend.

• Bookings peak on May 30, the day Bad Bunny opens his Madrid run, with 23% of the total, with June 6 the second-busiest date at 12%.

• Diners are ‌favouring Mediterranean food for the concert dates (16%), followed by Japanese (11%) and Italian (10%).

• Nearly three-quarters of bookings are for groups of up to five diners, while groups of five to ‌nine account for about a fifth.

• Restaurants suited to ‌groups of friends are drawing the most bookings, followed by venues with outdoor terraces and family-friendly restaurants.
