Argentina analysts hike up 2026 inflation, trim growth forecasts in central bank poll

BUENOS AIRES, May 7 (Reuters) – Argentina analysts raised ​their estimates for ‌the country’s annual inflation this year and trimmed their ‌economic ​growth ⁠expectations, according to ⁠a central bank market expectations survey released on ​Thursday.

They now expect inflation to ⁠end ⁠the year at ​30.5%, according to ​the median forecast of ‌analysts, up 1.4 percentage points from their ⁠prior forecast.

Economic growth is meanwhile projected to ⁠close ‌2026 at ⁠2.8%, the analysts ​forecast, ‌half a ​percentage point ⁠below their previous estimate.
