Nuuk airport reopens after bomb threat, Greenland police say

COPENHAGEN, April 21 (Reuters) – The airport in Greenland’s capital ​Nuuk has ‌reopened after it was evacuated due to a bomb threat ‌on ​Tuesday, police ⁠said, adding ⁠they had not found any dangerous object on the premises.

Police ​said they had arrested ⁠a woman ⁠around the age ​of 50 but ​added they expected to ‌release her soon. They were first alerted to ⁠the threat at 1532 p.m. (1632 GMT).

Such incidents are ⁠extremely ‌rare in ⁠Greenland, a vast ​semi-autonomous ‌Arctic island ​that is ⁠part of the kingdom of Denmark.
