Wall St opens lower ahead of Trump’s Iran deadline

April 7 (Reuters) – Wall Street’s main indexes opened lower ​open on ‌Tuesday as investors assessed comments from the U.S. and ‌Iran ​for ⁠any clues on ⁠where the conflict was headed, before President Donald Trump’s ​deadline for Iran to ⁠reopen the ⁠Strait of ​Hormuz.

The Dow Jones ​Industrial Average rose 74.9 ‌points, or 0.16%, at the open to 46,744.76. ⁠The S&P 500 fell 9.9 points, or ⁠0.15%, ‌to 6,601.93, ⁠while the Nasdaq ​Composite ‌dropped 69.2 ​points, or ⁠0.31%, to 21,927.087.
