GM workers at Mexico’s Silao plant to vote on proposal for 10% salary hike

MEXICO CITY, March 25 (Reuters) – The union ​representing workers ‌at a General Motors plant in Silao, Mexico ‌has ​proposed ⁠a 10% ⁠salary increase for the 2026-2028 contract, union leader ​told Reuters on ⁠Wednesday.

Alejandra Morales, ⁠head of ​SINTTIA, said ​workers will vote on ‌the proposal April 9 and 10. ⁠The union has set a strike ⁠deadline ‌for April ⁠15 if ​an ‌agreement with ​management is ⁠not met.
