US crude oil futures rise over $1 in early Asia trade

March 24 (Reuters) – U.S. crude futures rose ​more than $1 ‌in early Asia trade on Tuesday as markets ‌assessed ​the ⁠supply outlook ⁠after Iran denied holding talks with the United ​States, contradicting President Donald ⁠Trump’s ⁠earlier claim ​that discussions were ​under way.

U.S. West Texas ‌Intermediate crude futures were up $1.37, or ⁠1.6%, at $89.44 a barrel as of ⁠2206 ‌GMT. The ⁠contract hit ​a ‌session low ​of $84.37 on ⁠Monday.
