PANAMA CITY, March 20 (Reuters) – The Panama Canal Authority said on Friday it will grant uninterrupted vessel passage during its 2026 planned maintenance program, which will take place between March and September, requiring the temporary closure of single transit lanes.
The canal’s maintenance programs are planned a year ahead of time. For this one, certain lanes or lock chambers will be intervened one at a time for between four hours and nine days, allowing others to continue operating, it said.
