Canadian housing starts rise slightly in February, says CMHC

OTTAWA, March 16 (Reuters) – Canadian housing starts ​rose slightly ‌in February compared with the previous month, ‌indicating ​that ⁠the trend ⁠in new construction remains steady despite monthly ​volatility, the national ⁠housing agency ⁠said on ​Monday.

The seasonally ​adjusted annualized rate of ‌housing starts edged up to ⁠250,900 units from a revised 240,148 ⁠units ‌in January, ⁠the Canada ​Mortgage ‌and Housing ​Corporation said ⁠in a release.
