Reports: Packers acquire LB Zaire Franklin from Colts

The Green Bay Packers are acquiring former Pro Bowl linebacker Zaire Franklin ​from the Indianapolis ‌Colts in exchange for defensive tackle Colby Wooden, multiple media outlets reported on Saturday.

Franklin, 29, is ‌two ​seasons removed ⁠from leading the ⁠NFL with 173 tackles during a Pro Bowl year. He had 125 tackles to ​go along with two sacks while starting ⁠all 17 games ⁠in 2025.

A seventh-round pick ​out of Syracuse in the ​2018 NFL Draft, Franklin has ‌totaled 738 tackles, 10 sacks and 10 forced fumbles in 132 career games (82 ⁠starts) with the Colts.

Wooden, 25, recorded 50 tackles while playing in ⁠17 ‌games (16 starts) last ⁠season.

He has totaled 87 ​tackles ‌in 47 career games (17 ​starts) ⁠since being selected by the Packers in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Auburn.
