Islanders F Jean-Gabriel Pageau signs 3-year extension

The New York Islanders announced a three-year contract ​extension with ‌forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau on Friday.

Terms were not disclosed, but multiple ‌reports ​put the ⁠total value at $14.55 ⁠million ($4.85 million per season).

The deal starts with the 2026-27 ​season and runs through 2028-29 ⁠for the ⁠33-year-old veteran.

Pageau ​has 29 points (14 goals, ​15 assists) in 55 ‌games this season.

He has 395 points (173 goals, 222 ⁠assists) in 852 career games with his hometown ⁠Ottawa ‌Senators (2012-20) and ⁠Islanders. Ottawa ​drafted ‌him in the ​fourth round ⁠in 2011 and traded him to New York in February 2020.
