Three dead, 14 injured after shooting in Austin, Texas

March 1 (Reuters) – At least three people died and 14 ​were injured following ‌a mass shooting at a bar in Austin, Texas, early on Sunday, ‌police ​said.

The suspect ⁠was killed in ⁠an exchange of fire with police at the scene, police ​said, adding that 14 people were ⁠in hospital, ⁠three of whom ​were in a critical ​condition.

Police did not release the ‌identity of the shooter or make any comment on ⁠the shooter’s motive.

Mass shootings in the United States, which ⁠has ‌some of the ⁠most permissive gun ​laws ‌in the developed ​world, are ⁠more common than in most other countries.
