FRANKFURT, Feb 9 (Reuters) – Euro zone inflation is ‍expected to stabilise at the European Central Bank’s 2% ‌target after dipping ‌below it this year, but the environment remains uncertain, ECB President Christine Lagarde said ‍on Monday.

“Our updated assessment reconfirmed that ‍inflation should stabilise at our 2% target in the medium ‍term,” she told European lawmakers in ‍Strasbourg. “In ‍the current uncertain environment, our data-dependent, meeting-by-meeting approach ‌to monetary policy serves us well.”
