BEIJING, Jan 19 (Reuters) – China’s population fell for a fourth consecutive year in 2025 with experts cautioning that the trend will worsen in the coming years.
The National Bureau of Statistics said the total number of people in China dropped by 339 million to 1.405 billion in 2025, a faster decline than in 2024.
