San Diego FC M Anders Dreyer signs contract extension

San Diego FC midfielder Anders Dreyer signed a contract extension on Wednesday through the ‍2028-29 season.

The deal includes an option through the 2029-30 campaign for the reigning MLS Newcomer of the Year.

“Extending Anders’ contract was a clear ‌priority for us heading ‌into this season,” SDFC sporting director Tyler Heaps said. “He was able to very quickly show his value to this ​team through his performances, work ethic, and commitment to the ‍group on and ​off the field. This ​extension reflects our confidence in him ‍and our belief that he will continue to play a key role in helping us reach our objectives.”

Dreyer, 27, made an ‍immediate impact in his debut campaign in 2025. He finished the regular season with ‍19 ‍goals and a league-best ​19 assists in 34 ​matches, ⁠with his 38 goal ‌contributions serving as the second-most in the MLS.

The Denmark native added four goals and two assists in five postseason matches for San Diego FC.
