Colombia to continue to work with US on drug trafficking, government says

BOGOTA, Jan 5 (Reuters) – Colombia will continue to ‍work with the United States in fighting drug trafficking ‌using Washington’s intel ‌and technology, two officials from the South American nation said ​on Monday.

The announcement from ‍Interior ​Minister Armando ​Benedetti and Justice ‍Minister Andres Idarraga came a day after U.S. President Donald ‍Trump called his Colombian counterpart Gustavo ‍Petro “sick” ‍and admitted ​the possibility ​of ⁠a U.S. military ‌operation in the country.
