US military says three people killed in strikes on suspected drug convoy

WASHINGTON, Dec 31 (Reuters) – The United States on ‍Tuesday carried out strikes against three vessels in international waters that ‌were suspected ‌of nacro-trafficking, the U.S. Southern Command said on Wednesday.

The vessels were ​traveling as a convoy, the ‍military ​said.

“Three narco-terrorists aboard ​the first vessel ‍were killed in the first engagement. The remaining narco-terrorists abandoned the ‍other two vessels, jumping overboard and distancing ‍themselves ‍before follow-on ​engagements sank ​their ⁠respective vessels,” Southern ‌Command wrote on X.
