Reports: Cavaliers F Evan Mobley to return vs. Knicks

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley will return from a two-week injury ‍absence on Thursday afternoon against the New York Knicks, multiple media outlets reported.

Mobley has been sidelined for ‌nearly two weeks ‌with a left calf strain. He last played in a game on Dec. 12, scoring ​23 points in 36 minutes in a ‍win against the ​Washington Wizards, and ​an MRI the following day ‍revealed the Grade 1 strain.

Mobley, 24, is averaging career highs in both points (19.1) and assists (4.1) to ‍go along with 9.3 rebounds in 25 games this season.

An ‍All-Star ‍last season, Mobley is ​averaging 16.6 points ​and ⁠9.0 rebounds over ‌294 games (all starts) since Cleveland selected him with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
