PARIS, Dec 19 (Reuters) – A Paris court on Friday rejected the ‍French government’s request to suspend Shein’s website as a whole for three months, saying it would ‌be “disproportionate”.

The court did ‌order Chinese online platform Shein not to sell sex toys or adult products again without implementing age verification measures, setting a ‍10,000 euro fine for any breach.

Shein has been at the ‍centre of a scandal in France since the country’s consumer watchdog found banned weapons and ‍sex dolls resembling children for sale on its marketplace, prompting ‍a ‍government push to suspend the platform on the day it ‌opened its first store in Paris.
