BEIJING, Oct 9 (Reuters) – China will build technology monitoring, risk warning and emergency ‌response systems to ensure AI is safe, reliable and controllable, state-run Xinhua ‌news agency reported on Friday, citing new government guidelines.

Authorities will also hold those responsible for major losses caused by “blind” investment in what the guidelines called “new productive forces” including AI and a wide range of other frontier ‌technologies strictly accountable.

China will promote the healthy and orderly development of the low-altitude economy — businesses built around civilian drones, ‌air taxis, small aircraft and related services ‌operating in low-altitude airspace — while ensuring safety, the guidelines said.
