Sept 30 (Reuters) – Hormel Foods on Wednesday said it will buy family-owned chicken company Brakebush Brothers in a deal valued at $1.06 billion, as the Skippy peanut butter maker looks to expand its presence in value-added chicken.
Consumers have increasingly sought protein-rich meal options amid growing demand for chicken as the focus on health and wellness grows.
