Sep 30 (Field Level Media) – Houston Astros outfielder Daulton Varsho underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left wrist Tuesday and is done for the season.
He had been dealing with cysts in the wrist most of the season and was placed on the 10-day injured list on Sept. 24.
Varsho, 30, split the season with the Toronto Blue Jays (99 games) and Astros (41) and batted .221 with 12 homers and 40 RBIs in 140 games. He hit just .172 with Houston after being acquired at the trade deadline.
He is a career .226 hitter with 111 homers and 335 RBIs in 788 regular-season games with the Arizona Diamondbacks (2020-22), Blue Jays (2023-26) and Astros. He won a Gold Glove with Toronto in 2024.
Houston is hosting the Chicago White Sox in Game 2 of the American League wild-card series on Wednesday.
