Sept 28 (Reuters) – The Federal Reserve’s in-house watchdog issued an alert Monday flagging an employee who may have left the central bank with confidential information.
“This alert focuses on a departing Board employee who potentially removed Federal Open Market Committee classified and other sensitive information” after having had “a prior information security incident” with FOMC information, the Fed’s Inspector General said. “This potential incident highlights information security risks and control breakdowns and deficiencies that we believe require the Board’s immediate attention,” the watchdog said.
