WASHINGTON, Sept 24 (Reuters) – The head of the group representing major US airlines said carriers oppose a US diesel export ban, saying it could lead to higher prices and have a “drastic impact” on air carriers.
Airlines for America CEO Chris Sununu said the group had spoken with officials at the US Departments of Energy and Interior to express their concerns. “The chain reaction of issues that it causes — the prices don’t go down,” Sununu said in an interview of a diesel export ban.
