Sep 23 (Field Level Media) – The annual celebrity golf tournament that draws scores of professional athletes and entertainers will remain at its current Lake Tahoe home in the Sierra Nevada Mountains through 2030.
The American Century Championship has agreed to a four-year extension to keep the tournament at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline, Nev., along the border of California.
Former professional tennis player Mardy Fish won the 2026 edition of the tournament in a field that included the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry, former NBA star and current broadcaster Charles Barkley, former Philadelphia Eagles lineman Jason Kelce and longtime NHL star Joe Pavelski.
In 2025, Pavelski won the celebrity tournament title after Fish won the second of his three titles in 2024. Curry won in 2023, while former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and broadcaster Tony Romo won in 2018, 2019 and 2022.
The last non-athlete to win the tournament was actor Jack Wagner in 2011.
The event, held on the weekend of the second full week of July, has been played in South Lake Tahoe every year since it made its debut in 1990. Stateline is home to four casino resorts: Bally’s, Caesars, Harrah’s and the Golden Nugget.
The next event is July 7-11, 2027.
