WASHINGTON, Sept 17 (Reuters) – Multilevel marketing company Amway Corp. and two of its affiliates under a proposed order will pay $225 million to resolve allegations it used unfair and deceptive tactics to recruit members to its direct selling and multilevel marketing opportunity, the Federal Trade Commission said on Thursday.
The affiliates are World Wide Group, L.L.C. and Leadership Team Development Inc., according to the statement.
