Rockies C Hunter Goodman leaves game with sore thumb

Sep 15 (Field Level Media) – Colorado Rockies ​catcher Hunter Goodman ‌left Monday night’s game in the seventh inning against the San ‌Diego ​Padres with ⁠right thumb soreness.

Goodman ⁠slid into third base on his two-out triple in the ​bottom of the sixth and then ⁠came out ⁠to warm up ​pitcher Blas Castano in ​the top of the ‌seventh. After Castano threw his final warmup pitch, Goodman ⁠threw to second base and then walked to the ⁠dugout.

He ‌was replaced by ⁠Brett Sullivan ​behind ‌the plate.

Goodman, 27, ​leads all ⁠major league catchers with 38 home runs. He is batting .245 with 81 RBIs.
