Honda, Nissan target FY2029 roll-out for jointly developed vehicle software, control units

TOKYO, Aug 31 (Reuters) – Japanese automakers ​Nissan and ‌Honda said on Monday they ‌will ​jointly ⁠develop standardised electronic ⁠control units of software-defined vehicles and ​in-vehicle operating ⁠systems.

The ⁠companies plan ​to equip ​next-generation vehicles with architecture ‌incorporating the electronic control ⁠units and software from the ⁠2029 financial ‌year ⁠onward, ​they ‌said in ​a joint ⁠statement.
