Pennsylvania reports two deaths from measles, health department says

Aug 25 (Reuters) – Pennsylvania reported two deaths related ​to measles ‌on Tuesday, the first such deaths in the state ‌in ​35 ⁠years, health ⁠officials said.

Both individuals were unvaccinated residents of Lancaster County, ​according to the Pennsylvania ⁠Department ⁠of Health.

The agency ​did not release ​additional details, citing ‌privacy concerns.

The deaths come amid a rise ⁠in measles in the state, which has ⁠confirmed ‌393 cases ⁠across 28 ​counties ‌so far this ​year.
