Aug 24 (Field Level Media) – The Colorado Rockies placed veteran left-hander Kyle Freeland on the 15-dayinjured list with a pinched nerve in his neck and selected the contract ofright-hander Blake Adams from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Freeland, 33, departed his start against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesdayin the fourth inning with discomfort in his left arm caused by the pinchednerve. He is 4-10 with a 6.37 ERA in 23 starts this season.
In 10 major league seasons, all with the Rockies, the Denver native is 69-100with a 4.71 ERA in 259 appearances (254 starts).
Adams, 25, is set to make his major league debut. In 25 appearances (twostarts) between Double-A and Triple-A this season, Adams is 3-5 with a 6.52ERA. The 13th-round draft pick in 2022 has spent five seasons in the minorleagues.
