Report: Blazers G Shaedon Sharpe (knee) out 6 months

Aug 24 (Field Level Media) – Coming off a career-best scoring season, ​Portland Trail Blazers guard ShaedonSharpe ‌is expected to miss six months after suffering a torn meniscus in hisright knee, ESPN reported Monday.

Sharpe, ‌23, ​averaged 20.8 points, ⁠4.3 rebounds and ⁠2.6 assists in 2025-26,helping Portland to its first postseason appearance since 2021 despite missing32 games ​with a stress fracture of his left fibula.

The report said ⁠Sharpe’s injury occurred ⁠during a recent workout ​session.Entering his fifth season, Portland’s ​first-round pick (No. 7 overall) in the2022 ‌NBA Draft has averaged 15.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 234games (134 starts).

Sharpe is ⁠set to earn approximately $20 million this season in the first yearof a ⁠four-year, $90 million ‌extension he signed ⁠last year.

Despite Sharpe’s injury, ​the ‌Trail Blazers are not lacking ​for ⁠talent at theguard position with veterans Damian Lillard, Ja Morant and Jrue Holidaymanning the position along with fourth-year player Scoot Henderson.
