Aug 24 (Reuters) – Australia’s Ampol posted a 376% rise in interim profit on Monday, supported by robust Lytton refinery margins and strong contributions from its convenience retail and its fuel and infrastructure segments.
The country’s top fuel retailer reported record underlying net profit after tax of A$857.2 million ($614.44 million) on a replacement cost basis for the half year ended June 30, compared with A$180.2 million a year earlier. That compares with a Visible Alpha consensus estimate of A$840 million.
