NEW YORK, Aug 6 (Reuters) – Supplements brand Dose, which makes daily liquid shots, is exploring a sale that could value the company at close to $1 ‌billion, according to people familiar with the matter.

The privately held company, based in Miami, is working with investment bank Perella Weinberg Partners on the sale process, ‌said the people, who requested anonymity since the matter is private. Dose is profitable and generates over $200 million of annual revenue, they said.

Perella and Dose did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Earlier this week, Procter & Gamble agreed to buy supplements maker Thorne for $3.8 billion, fueling expectations for more dealmaking in the vitamins, minerals and supplements sector. Consumers are increasingly focused on health and wellness, but a crowded market means ‌buyers are becoming more selective about which brands they back.

Entrepreneur Vasu Goyal founded Dose in 2020 for his grandfather, who struggled with liver and cholesterol issues. The company’s daily shots contain ingredients including elderberry, turmeric and ginger and are marketed for liver, ‌cholesterol and skin health.

Existing investors in Dose include Unilever Ventures, Melitas Ventures ‌and Vanterra Ventures.

Earlier this year, private equity firm Bansk Group acquired wellness shot brand So Good So You, which targets immunity, energy, digestion, and mood, for an undisclosed amount.
